Carleton has played host to many students who have gone on to achieve great things.   • Test Results: The test score ranges for applicants from 2014 are: SAT Critical Reading 660-750, SAT Math 660-760, SAT Writing 650-750.

  • A completed application form: including an essay and activities sheet.
  • Carleton Supplement: This can be found in the “My Colleges” section of the Common Application.
  • Transcript: This should include classes and grades from the first three years of high school. Senior year schedule, in addition to grades from the first term of senior year, if these are available.
  • High School Counsellor Recommendation: Counsellors can use the “School Report” form from the Common App page.
  • Two teacher recommendations: Teachers should use the Common Application form called “Teacher Evaluation” Applicants are advised to ask teachers from junior and senior years.
  • For early decision applicants: For questions relating to Early Decision applications, including the deadlines, please see the .
  • Standardized Testing: “SAT or ACT with writing (SAT and ACT may only be waived if these tests are not offered in the student’s country)” SAT Subject Tests are optional, however, the college would recommend that applicants provide such results.
  • Application fee: $30.00, or free to applicants who apply online.
  • International Students Language Requirements: Applicants for whom English is a second language are expected to take either a TOEFL or an IELTS.
