  • Test Results: The mean scores for the SATs are – Critical Reading: 722, Math: 725, Writing: 729. The mean score for the ACT: 32.
  • A completed application form: .
  • Dartmouth Writing Supplement: Part of the Common Application.
  • For Early Decision applicants: Submit the Early Decision Agreement supplement.
  • Standardized Testing: Submit the SAT or ACT, with writing, in addition to 2 SAT subject tests.
  • A secondary school report: To include a “Common Application Secondary School Report. This report includes information about the school, and its grading and ranking policies. It also includes the applicant’s transcript and a brief counsellor recommendation.”
  • Mid-Year Report: To include an update of coursework and grades, usually from the 1st semester or trimester.
  • Final Report: This report can be downloaded from the “Assign Recommenders” section of the Common Application.
  • Teacher Recommendations: Two to be provided by junior and senior year teachers of academic classes.
  • The First Year Supplement: Applicants should file this form as soon as they decide to apply to Dartmouth.
  • Peer Evaluation: While Dartmouth do not request this as a part of the standard application, they strongly encourage submission. The appropriate form can be found in the “Other Recommender” section of the Common Application.
